AF0DE970-5B51-47AC-B037-1E2B8CA255E1

Each month my goal is to add a new oil to my Essential Rewards. This month I added Slique Essence, looking forward to getting my “monthly box” and adding two drops to NingXia Red or water.

Who is ready to join me and jump start 2018 with the Slique Kit?

Slique Essence combines grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, spearmint, and ocotea with stevia extract in a unique blend that supports healthy weight management goals. These ingredients work together to help control hunger*, especially when used in conjunction with Slique Tea or the Slique Kit. The pleasant citrus combination of grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon essential oils adds a flavorful and uplifting element to any day with the added support of spearmint that may help with digestion.* Ocotea essential oil adds an irresistible, cinnamon-like aroma to help control hunger, while stevia adds an all-natural sweetener that provides a pleasant taste with no added calories.

Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

4328090d-15a2-4b82-844d-baf61fd081f7.jpeg

It is finally FALL and guess what that means in our house… Lots of yummy cooking and delicious smells and full bellies! One of my favorite essential oils to cook with throughout the Fall season is Cinnamon Bark Vitality—which is FREE during the month of October when you place an order of at least 100PV.

Cinnamon Bark Vitality has a unique, delicious, spicy flavor and did you know that Cinnamon Bark Vitality can not only help maintain a healthy immune system, but also supports the digestive system. This actually makes a lot of sense because, as we discussed last month, 70-80% of our immune system lives in our digestive tract.

Cinnamon Bark Vitality is very high in the naturally occurring chemical constituent Trans-Cinnamaldehyde. Cinnamaldehyde is a flavonoid and is what gives cinnamon it’s flavor and odor. Cinnamon is known to be loaded with antioxidants and Cinnamon Bark essential oil is steam distilled from the outer parts of the bark of the cinnamon tree.

There are so many ways I love to use Cinnamon Bark Vitality in the kitchen: a tiny drop in mashed sweet potatoes, a little in my pumpkin pie recipe, a wonderful addition to Einkorn Pumpkin Bread, and finally, it is wonderful to add a drop to roasted pumpkin seeds—we will share this recipe later in the month.

As a quick reminder, because essential oils are 100-10,000 time more potent than herbs, I would always start small when cooking with essential oils; you don’t want to overpower your recipe. I love to use a toothpick. I simply dip it in the orifice of the essential oil, and then I am able to start small and grow the flavor of the dish little by little.

There is no wrong way to cook or bake with Cinnamon Bark Vitality and I am excited for you to experience this wonderful essential oil in your kitchen this Fall!
