Hurricane Harvey

By now some may feel overwhelmed with all the news stories and pictures coming out of Texas. What I see unfolding is true humanity happening. There is no division of race, creed, color, able-bodied, non-able-bodied, young helping old, old helping young. We may feel helpless, hopeless, but God is always with us regardless of the situation, He will never leave us nor forsake us.

What happened in Charlottesville, Virginia was not what our country truly is. Several groups of people came together for the wrong reasons. God needs to be first and foremost.

Sail On Texas Navy!

This is what America is about. All races, creed, religion, poor, rich, able-bodied helping those who need help, young, old. Please continue to pray for Texas, boots on the ground, volunteers. Be the hands and feet of Jesus.

It’s a unique part of being human — tragedy, hardship, loss and pain tend to bring people together.  It seems like it would be prosperity, success, everything going good that brings people together.  Not so, at least, not usually.

Case in point is Hurricane Harvey.  For those not directly affected, this may be a meaningless example, or at least, not as poignant. But for those who have experienced it, even if only a part, it is a horrible time for so many people.  At the same time, it’s somehow refreshing, like a root of hope has blossomed.
