God Of Love And Compassion

Patrick, Justin I admire the both of you. Compassion, grace, when life becomes challenging neither of you backed down and persevered. Courage, dignity and a very powerful bond of life long friendship.
The truth that God’s love is more powerful than any darkness that we can face. I’ll Push You is a powerful reminder of faith, friendship and community. We don’t need a church building, we are the church. We are the hands and feet of Jesus. A story of two men, Patrick and Justin, born in the same hospital two days apart, grew up together and faced life side by side. One able-body (Patrick) pushing one wheel-chair bound (Justin) 500 miles on a journey traveling the famous Camio de Santiago.
We all go through trials, but what a better way than to have your best friend next to you through thick and thin. Each one willing to sacrifice. Sometimes it is hard to let go and let other’s help. I cried when Patrick let go of control and let others push Justin when he could no longer push his wheelchair. Justin also reminds us life is too short and to enjoy what you have.

Jesus Always Forgives Us

IMG_8689

A Love So True is beautifully written and reminds us that there is compassion regardless of what others do. This is the second book in the Teaville Moral Society series. I thoughly enjoyed reading the book and found it hard to put down once I started reading it.

Evelyn has a huge heart for women and children of the Red Light district. Her desire is to buld a home that these women can call their own. (My heart ached for those for felt they needed to prostitute themselves out.) No one wants to support this endeavor. If Evelyn can not convince local businesses to support and help financially, her dream may not happen.

David Kingsman is in Teaville to get his father’s business, A.K. Glass back on solid ground. His plan is to only stay in Teaville for a short time, that is until he meets Evelyn. He finds himself dropping in at the orphanage just to talk to Evelyn. Both David and Evelyn experience the same things we all do: second chances, joy and heartache. A common theme throughout the book was that Jesus forgives us regardless of what we think or the mistakes we make. Can they both trust God’s plan despite what may be stacked againist them?

I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of “A Love So True” for an honest review.
